This explains what personal information Lanta Thai Massage (1 Sandhill Lane, Moortown, Leeds LS17 6AG) collects, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Your bookings: treatment, date, time and what you have paid.
- Anything you write in the optional notes box when you book.
We do not collect or store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Why we use it
- To take and manage your booking, send your confirmation and reminders, and take payment.
- To ask, after your appointment, whether you would like to leave a review. You can ignore this email.
- To keep the business records the law requires.
We don't send marketing emails and we never sell your information.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers to run the booking system: Stripe (payments), Supabase (the booking database), Resend (booking emails) and Amazon Web Services (website hosting). They only process your information to provide their service to us. Some of them may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Booking notes are deleted automatically 12 months after your appointment.
- Booking and payment records are kept for up to 6 years, as UK tax rules require.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The map on the contact page is provided by Google and only loads if you choose to show it. When you pay, Stripe may use cookies that are needed to process the payment safely and prevent fraud.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we don't need to keep it by law. Email lantamassage@outlook.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
